Mythology and the traditional tales linked with it
When you think of mythology, what comes to mind are the tales of the long lost cultures of yore such as Greek, Norse, and Egyptian and so on? Mythology has several mythological figures in it and some of them are so very popular as lots of stories are woven around them. Not many people want to believe that mythology is just belief and has no truth in them. At the same time, there are people who strongly believe that these are not just legends and myths but have a whole lot of truth in them. There is some form of truth in each of them according to what is there in the belief factor.
Mythology is more about belief and what people have gone on to believe that what time of their lives during the advent of civilization. There have been several folktales and folklores that have gone on to become a part of mythology and ensured that people’s imaginations and creativity skills have been put to test to a certain extent. They have gone on to span the desire for the good mythological characters that have been brave and trustworthy and then on the other hand, there have been mythological characters that are demons and have been filled with vengeance and malice.
Mythology has been a good tool and resource for people of old to be able to vent their fears and insecurities in the form of mythological characters and what they convey.
